Every week, people across the UK buy peptides on the strength of a marketing claim. We think they deserve the evidence first.
Whether you're researching a peptide, comparing collagen, or trying to understand GLP‑1 medicines, we help you separate evidence from marketing before you decide.

What this is
PeptideClear works like Which? Trusted Traders or Checkatrade, but for UK research-peptide sellers. Instead of asking other customers what they thought, we check the evidence ourselves — does a seller publish a lab certificate for every batch, is it from a named independent lab, can you actually verify it's real. Same checklist, every UK seller we can find, for free. Nobody pays to be included and nobody pays for a better score.
If you sell research peptides in the UK
You don't need to apply. We identify UK sellers and score what's publicly checkable on your own site. If something we find looks significant, we contact you before publishing so you can add context or correct it. See how scoring works →
UA is “unavailable,” not a grade: 36 more sellers tracked but not yet scored, plus 8 flagged for in-depth review (unresolved, not graded).
Research asset
Every peptide we cover, placed by how far the evidence actually goes — animal work through to human randomised trials — and grouped by what people use it for. Tap any node to open it.
One scale, on every compound. Filled pips show how far the evidence goes: animal work, mixed human data, or human randomised trials. Never hype.
Become a smarter buyer
The unique key you check at the lab's own portal is the only proof the numbers are real. A PDF can be forged in minutes.
Reused chromatograms, no batch number, a mismatched mass — the tells a vendor will never point out to you.
Why a named, independent lab beats a self-reported figure, and what “research use only” means in UK law.
We summarise UK peptide categories in plain English and score suppliers on observable, published signals. We take no vendor payment, and it never changes how we score. The decision is yours. For prescription medicine the prescriber decides; for research peptides the retailer's “research use only” framing applies.
Before you buy anywhere
Every GLP-1 weight-management medicine licensed in the UK is prescription-only, so a site that sells you one without a prescriber is supplying illegally. Check the seller on the GPhC register, check the prescriber on the GMC register, and treat a price well under the registered-pharmacy range as a warning rather than a find. The MHRA reported seizing more than 5,000 illegally traded GLP-1 products in 2025 alone.
PeptideClear maintains these as refreshable datasets rather than one-off articles. Each carries its own source, methodology and last-updated date.
